September 4: Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters
KONAMI lists Magnificent Monsters for September 4, 2026. The product is a themed collector release rather than a standard core booster set, making exact configuration especially important when comparing listings.
Read the current entry on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! product page Opens in a new tab., then search the Tavern by the complete product name. If no verified direct listing is available, post a Quest rather than assuming a broad catalog match can be purchased.
Yu-Gi-Oh! players can also use the TCG Tavern events calendar to follow weekly Advanced, Genesys, and Time Wizard play. Product interest and event registration are separate: securing a product does not register a Duelist for a tournament, and entering an event does not reserve merchandise.
September 4: Magic—The Hobbit Gift Bundle and event window
Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit released on tabletop in August, but its Gift Bundle arrives September 4. Wizards also lists September tabletop programs around the set, including a Heart of the Mountain window from September 4–10 and a second Commander Party round from September 18–24.

September 16: Pokémon TCG—30th Celebration
The Pokémon Company has announced a simultaneous worldwide release for Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration on September 16, 2026. Its official preview says every card in the expansion is foil, including Basic Energy, and that the set combines new cards with commemorative returns from the game’s history.
Some returning cards are collector-focused reprints rather than newly Standard-legal cards. Players should verify legality by exact card printing and current tournament rules instead of assuming that a new pack makes every included design legal in Standard.

September 21: Riftbound Radiance previews begin
Riot’s published Riftbound roadmap lists September 21 as the beginning of previews for Radiance, the game’s fifth set. That is the start of an information cycle, not the product release itself.

Preview season is a good time to decide what you actually want: a prerelease seat, sealed product, upgrades for an existing deck, or simply a place to learn. Follow Riftbound events at TCG Tavern and use a Quest for a specific Radiance product only after the exact configuration is known.
Late September: NARUTO Mythos TCG—Shinobi Shiren in North America
The official NARUTO Mythos North America FAQ says Set 2, Shinobi Shiren, is expected for official prerelease activity in late September 2026 across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. At the time of this article, the publisher has not posted one final public release date for those regions.
That uncertainty is worth preserving. A European date, distributor estimate, or store arrival is not automatically the North American mass-release date. Ask the Tavern about the exact set, edition, language, and event. Do not pay from a vague listing that cannot name the configuration or supported delivery window.
October 16 and 23: Disney Lorcana—Hyperia City
Ravensburger has announced Hyperia City as the next Disney Lorcana set, with prerelease at Ravensburger Play Hub stores on October 16 and wider release on October 23, 2026. The publisher says the set introduces glimmers from Pixar’s Coco and brings back Prerelease Boxes.

How to use a release calendar without overbuying
Release excitement can make every product feel urgent. Before committing, answer four questions:
- Am I buying to play, collect, gift, open, or keep sealed?
- Which exact configuration serves that goal?
- Is the listing in stock, a true preorder, a reviewed special order, or only a request?
- What is the final price, quantity, fulfillment date, and cancellation remedy if timing changes?
Compare current official announcements with the live product page. Avoid treating a rumor, image leak, distributor placeholder, or marketplace title as final product documentation.
